From
Piedmont International Airport and Interstate 40
Westbound:
Exit Airport and follow
signs to Winston-Salem and Interstate 40 Westbound.
Take Interstate 40 Westbound for approximately 5
miles. The highway then forks. Bear right when the
highway forks left to I-40 (Blue sign) and right to
Business 40 (Green sign). Continue on Business 40 to
downtown Winston-Salem. Take Exit 5D (Main
Street\Downtown). At the top of the exit ramp, turn
right and immediately merge into the left hand lane.
Turn left at the first stoplight onto First Street.
From First Street, turn left at the first stoplight
onto Liberty Street. From Liberty Street, go straight
through the first stoplight (Cemetery Street). Turn
right at the second stoplight onto Brookstown Avenue
(you will see a sign on the opposite corner that says
"Brickenstein-Leinbach House"). Turn into
the first driveway on the left. Enter the house via
the front porch. The basement level is handicapped
accessible.
From
Interstate 77 and Interstate 40 Eastbound:
Travel I-77 to Interstate 40 Eastbound in Statesville.
Follow I-40 toward Winston-Salem. Between Clemmons and
Winston-Salem, I-40 forks to the right (Blue sign) and
Business 40 forks to the left (Green sign). Take
Business 40 - Downtown Winston-Salem. Follow Business
40 to Exit 5D (Old Salem\Salem College\Downtown). At
the fork in the ramp, stay right (you will be heading
toward NC School of the Arts). Go straight through the
first stoplight (Cemetery Street). Turn right at the
second stoplight onto Brookstown Avenue (you will see
a sign on the opposite corner that says
"Brickenstein-Leinbach House"). Turn into
the first driveway on the left. Enter the house via
the front porch. The basement level is handicapped
accessible.
From Route
52 Southbound:
Follow South to Business 40 Westbound. From Business
40 Westbound, take Exit 5D (Main Street\Downtown). At
the top of the exit ramp, turn right and immediately
merge into the left hand lane. Turn left at the first

left at the first stoplight onto Liberty Street. From

Westbound. From Business 40 Westbound, take Exit 5D
